Meta first announced Special Ad Categories in 2019. This was largely the result of legal and legislative pressures on Meta related to the types of advertising that were allowed on the platform. When you create a campaign, you are required to specify if you are running an ad to promote a Special Ad Category. Categories include: Credit Employment Housing Social Issues, Elections, or Politics Most ads will not qualify.

To create an A/B test , go to Experiments in your All Tools menu in Ads Manager. You can test campaign groups, campaigns, or ad sets. With campaign groups, you can group similar campaigns together to compare their performance to another group. In this video, I tested three ad sets. They were set up identically (targeting, placements, and creative) except for the performance goal.

You can set a default Beneficiary and Payer … New rules in the European Union require you to indicate who benefits and who is paying for your ad when targeting people in specific countries in Europe. This is done in the ad set. Meta has now provided a control within your Ad Account Settings to set a default. At the bottom of your Ad Account Settings, you should see a box for this.
